The evidence that can be used to support her theory is that a lot of transgender people feel they are born in the wrong body, and feel that even though their "sex" is decided they can still change their gender. this is supported by "There is no gender identity behind the expressions of gender"

She is also saying that mean and women are told the way to act through the uses of films and other types of media so it makes people feel like they have to act one way to for fill a certain gender
